Do you have faith in Santa Claus? Jolly Old St. Nicholas is an integral part of western society and many people matured using this type of magical icon. Recently I came upon the concept that Santa represents an original archetype. In Jungian psychology, archetype is described as an inherited memory represented within the mind by a universal symbol and observed in dreams and myths.
While seeking for these symbolic images on this dear old man I realized that which Santa Claus stands for could also be used to motivate us in creating to the new year. I see him like a fun-loving guy that brings us joy, love, excitement and happiness. It’s said he makes all our dreams and wishes become a reality. Throughout this season we are filled with expectations, the brilliance of light-filled homes, the enjoyment being with friends and neighbors to celebrate life, along with the joy and gratitude of giving and receiving.
I realize that santa photos reflects several archetypes. He is visible inside the Innocent archetype, helping us to trust, to hope as well as believe that an improved day lies ahead. He is clearly driven by faith and trust, bring that hope and giving us that faith and also the trust that most will probably be well.
The Caregiver archetype, however, is not really in the exercise of power that is the motive, although the drive to bestow care on individuals who require it: the care, concern and nurturing they lack but deserve. He or she is about giving to others fulfilling the requirements. And then he fails to require anything in exchange except a cookie, glass of milk or some eggnog. He is apparently a powerful guy, settling on who turns into a new Nintendo and who gets t-shirts or shoes. Once we are great and if we feel, Santa will ensure we get everything we want.
A tremendous element of Santa’s story will be the magical transformation from his rising up a chimney by the touch of his nose together with his yearly trek around the globe. And in addition, his flying reindeer without GPS onboard is literally miraculous, indeed. He magically brings gratitude, compassion and enjoy to all, one child’s heart at any given time. Santa is the quintessential Magician archetype helping us transform and transcend current reality to find new methods for dealing, being and succeeding.
As we are coming up with our dreams, our visions, and our alternatives for 2010, let’s all remember to use our Santa Claus model in conjunction with the Law of Attraction, Creation and Allowing. While you have selected and after that more clearly defined your choices in creating your 2010 Journey, use this technique to shift your beliefs and allowing of that particular that you desire.
Sometimes only the subtle shift from viewing our images from a grownup facet of attempting to force, worrying over and wondering how things can change, on the wide-eyed expectations and faith of kids. A key component of the ability of Allowing is always to let go and let God. Releasing our attachment to old beliefs, ideas and teachings allows us to ready to accept the Infinite Probabilities of the Universe.
Then too, we can liken Santa’s management skills to your universal manager. Could you envision him bringing toys to everyone, world-wide, in only one night? And all sorts of by the due date and within budget? That’s what we’re taught the Universe can perform for people, if we change it up to God/Source. Within the book “Ask & It Can Be Given” one of many Proven Processes is catchusanta it up to the manager. Since we set our goals, it’s like delegating to a Universal Manager. And also as we step back, and let the Universe set things in position, we CREATE! Remember, we’re not letting go of choices, we’re merely turning over all the information and creating our choices.
I urge you to concentrate on giving up to your Universal Manager all the stuff you sense you want to do throughout this holiday week. You’ll think it is amazing that when we shift our focus of reality, our reality changes. I’ve carried this out personally when I’ve felt overwhelmed by all the chores I feel I must do. Amazingly, some get done, some don’t, and some just don’t seem very important. I’ve had times when my daughters and daughters-in-law would offer to do a few of the baking. I’ve learned to take help and reply by using a grateful “Yes!” This technique is priceless in every facets of life, not simply the holidays. Legislation of Attraction is unfolding and orchestrating all that must afflict bring me my desires, Now.
